Description: Commissioned on October 8, 1957, Duperré served as an experimental trialship for the deep water sonar under project "CORMORAN 1" carrying the designation A 633 from 1967-71. Reconverted to an anti-submarine warfare destroyer in 1973, the ship was redesignated D 633 again. Decommissioned on June 1, 1992, and stricken in December 1993, Duperré subsequently served as a breakwater at Lanvéoc, France. Later, she was laid up at the marine cemetery of Landévennec. On October 10, 2014, she was finally towed to Ghent for scrapping. Duperré arrived there on October 14.
